overview

OpenConnect is a robust integrate middleware platform based on RabbitMQ (a reliable, open source implementation of advance message queuing protocol). It has a horizontally scalable architecture, and is also a cloud-ready product. It can also be used for integration between payment systems, core banking systems, wallet platforms, and digital channels.

Features

Comprehensive middleware switch features include

  • router-1807_67aa302b-3a94-46a7-aa3d-66b8928a87d7

    Flexible

Supports multiple ready-made industry standard connectors, such as:
Message Based – ISO8583, ISO20022, Proprietary fixed length

    Secure

Supports Mutual TLS for transport layer security (TLS 1.3), JWT (JSON Web Tokens), as well as other security standards.

Benefits

OpenConnect switch provides a unique range of benefits

  • Elastic

    • Supports multiple ready-made industry standard connectors, such as:
Message Based – ISO8583, ISO20022, Proprietary fixed length
API Based – REST APIs with JSON Spec, SOAP/XML based APIs
    Stored Procedures
    • Message flow configuration to support standard message integration patterns
    • Configurable routing that can bet set up on the basis of a single field/combination of fields within the message
    • Supports both Asynchronous and Synchronous message processing
    • Database Agnostic (Supports Oracle 11g, 11g Rac or above, DB2 9.7 or above, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above, Sybase ASE 15.5 (jConnect 6.0) or above, MySQL 5.1, 5.5, or above, PostgreSQL 8.4, 9.1, or above)
    • Developed in Java, and supports cross platform deployment

  • Monitoring

    • Monitoring of transaction messages with latency and turn around statistics
    • Monitoring of queues
    • Health monitoring of network connections
    • Use of Elastic search and Kibana for monitoring of logs

  • Powerful

    • Core message queuing engine is widely used and benchmarked for more than 1 million messages per second
    • Horizontally scalable architecture – Core engine can run on multiple cores, across clusters
    • Cloud ready – Can be deployed across cloud infrastructure, with support for on-prem/public cloud(s)

  • Secure

    • Support of Mutual TLS for transport layer security (TLS 1.3), JWT (JSON Web Tokens), and other security standards
    • Supports message integrity through Checksum generation and verification
    • Complete auditing for all messages

  • Configurable

    • It supports configurable routing that can bet set up on the basis of a single field/combination of fields within the message. Moreover, it also supports both Asynchronous and Synchronous message processing.

    • The middleware is developed in Java, and supports cross platform deployment
    • The middleware switch has intuitive monitoring of transaction messages with latency and turn around statistics, monitoring of queues, health monitoring of network connections and use Elastic search and Kibana for monitoring of logs.
